Captain Kirk Kessler is a US Coast Guard Master Captain (USCG) and an American Sailing Association Certified (ASA) instructor with more than 20 years and 25,000 miles logged on Lake Michigan as a racer, cruiser, instructor, and charter captain. As the Founder of The Salty Dog Sailing Co., the safety and comfort of your party is his highest priority. With more than 1500 logged charters since 2015, your party can rest easy knowing that the communication and preparation for the event is managed by a consummate marine professional.
Woody is a hypo-allergenic, non-shedding, 26 lb mini-golden doodle and has been sailing since 8 weeks of age. Woody loves to meet all our guests and never disappoints when it comes to entertainment. Ask him for a “High Five” and he won’t let you down!
As a beloved member of our company, Woody is incredibly relaxed on the water and in his time off the water, loves to chase squirrels, rabbits, and geese. Woody is the inspiration for our company name and logo and (obviously) our Chief Marketing Officer!
